“Through my work, I evoke the myths and memories of personal experience in the Natural World.”
As a studio artist living and working on a loud corner in New Orleans, my creativity is fueled by the vibrant history of the city and the tranquil moments spent at my fishing camp in the Louisiana Salt Marsh. Through my work, I evoke the myths and memories of personal experience in the Natural World and reflect on our connection to the environment.
My artwork is produced using layers of oil colors and glazes on various surfaces such as wood, aluminum, burlap, and canvas. aluminum, burlap, and canvas.
I've been captivated by diverse art movements from a young age, but it was my initial foray into Oil Painting and Sculpture at L.S.U. that truly ignited my artistic passion. Upon completing a B.A. in Journalism, I sought further education at the New Orleans Academy Of Fine Arts. Here, I delved into the traditional techniques of Painting, Drawing, and Sculpting from life in the "academic" fashion.
